About Me

Jason Mogus, M.A., LPCC, LICDC

My name is Jason and I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and a Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor in Ohio.  I have worked in counseling for 5 years, and I currently own my own private practice.  I help people with addictions, depression, anxiety, stress, career issues, organizational issues, relationship issues, and other challenges of life. With the help of counselors, I was able to recover from addiction and depression, and I absolutely love being able to help people overcome their obstacles.

My approach to therapy is focused on understanding you from your point of view and working together to develop an individualized approach to meet your needs.  Life can be hard sometimes and taking the step to reach out for help can be even harder.  I take a client-centered and strengths-based approach to my work with every client.  Together, we can work toward a more healthy and happy life.

My training and experience include a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walsh University and working on my Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology at Cleveland State University.  My work with folks dealing with mental health or addiction issues includes working in hospitals, community counseling centers, residential facilities, clinical trials research sites, and schools.  I have experience in neuropsychological and psychological assessment, individual therapy, group therapy, partial hospitalization programs, day treatment, intensive outpatient programs, and inpatient programs.  I have worked with adults, adolescents, children, couples, families, and organizations.

If you want help to get past a hurdle in life or in business, if you need help finding strategies to cope with depression, anxiety, or stress, or if you want to work on recovering, I would be happy to help you!
