Creating Connections Counseling Center LLC is located in downtown Delaware, Ohio.  On-street parking is readily available.  The office is in the lower level of 15 W Central Avenue in suite 103 and is accessible from the sidewalk by going down the stairs and into the building.

My practice is grounded in understanding the connection between how we think about things and our behaviors.  I provide services to individuals, couples, families, children, adolescents, and groups.  Clients identify their priorities and participate in a unique treatment experience to achieve their goals.

Appointments are available from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm Monday thru Thursday and 8:00 am to 5:00 pm on Fridays.  Sessions can be conducted in-person at the office or by webcam through a secured internet connection.

First appointments are focused on building a positive working relationship and offer you the opportunity to determine if my style is a good fit for you.  New client paperwork can be completed before the first visit by creating an online patient portal.

Everyone struggles from time-to-time.  I welcome the opportunity to work with you to help you discover and live your best life.

Perhaps you're down or anxious - maybe you're unsure about the future of a relationship, or just feel that you aren't living the life you were meant to lead. Whatever your needs may be, I am here to offer support.

Therapy is a process of growth and self-discovery, and in my sessions, I promote behavioral transformation by encouraging a positive outlook and the adoption of new attitudes and reactions.

I have the tools and professional experience to help you get back on track to a happier, healthier you.

Every relationship struggles from time to time. Therapy creates the opportunity to clarify and communicate concerns.  In sessions, I help couples feel heard and understood.

Together we develop strategies to support positive change.  My professional experience, and the resources I have to offer, help couples take the next best step in their relationship.

No two families are the same, with each family having its unique dynamics and way of life.  Sometimes, when life happens, families need help.

Family therapy is here to work through family challenges such as miscarriage, the loss of a child, or parent.  There are times when parents need support, such as when a child is struggling in school or parents are not sure how to have "the talk" with their teenager.  Other strains on the family can include divorce and taking care of aging parents.

I have professional experience working with diverse families and will work alongside family members to develop a plan to meet their specific needs.

Children are exposed to various stressors today more than ever before.  Many children lack the healthy coping skills needed to deal with stress resulting in acting out behaviors at home and school.

Therapy sessions benefit children by giving them a safe space to talk about their thoughts and feelings.  They can learn healthy coping skills and improve their sense of well-being.

My professional experience and child-centered approach will help your child learn to identify and communicate their needs constructively and empower them to positively deal with life's challenges.

Adolescence is filled with twists and turns, highs and lows.  Teens make decisions every day that put them on a path towards health and wellness or illness and turmoil.

Therapy sessions help adolescents work through issues with friends, sex and dating, drugs and alcohol, bullying, academics, and other challenges.  Sessions focus on developing protective factors and reducing risks.

I have the tools and professional experience to partner with teens to help them successfully navigate their complex world.

Many times we have more in common than we have differences.  Group counseling brings people together to share their experiences and learn from one another.  Group members develop a support system and have a safe space to practice new skills.

Group topics include grief, loss, depression, anxiety, trauma, self-esteem, and relationship or marital issues.

One of the great things about being a master's level social worker is that I have had the opportunity to work with people from all walks of life, making a positive impact by working directly with people one-on-one or, on a larger scale by directing social service programs.  I have over 20 years of experience working as a helping professional.

During my career, I have provided direct services to children and families, including children living in residential treatment due to unsafe behaviors, and children living in foster care.  I have directed a number of residential and partial-hospitalization programs that serve at-risk youth.  I went on to work in a private practice setting providing counseling services to individuals, couples, families, children, and adolescents.

I spent several years directing case management and counseling services for people living with HIV and the LGBTQ community.  During this time I implemented and directed a syringe access program for people that inject drugs, also providing direct services that included brief counseling interventions and linkages to substance abuse treatment and medical care.  This experience ignited a passion for serving people in active addiction and recovery.  I went on to direct a substance abuse program serving addicted women and their children.

In September 2019 I graduated with my master's in business administration and am now combining my years of experience as a social worker and my MBA to start my own business, Creating Connections Counseling Center LLC.  I look forward to bringing high-quality services to Delaware County residents in a welcoming and safe space.
