I graduated from The Ohio State University Master of Social Work Program. I began my career as an outpatient counselor in a rural community mental health center. I provided counseling services  for all ages, and treatment for a variety of mental wellness concerns for the underserved in the county. I offered individual, couples, and family counseling.  I transitioned from community mental health to Nationwide Children’s Hospital Behavioral Health Close To Home Services. I provided outpatient counseling to children and their families for many childhood psychiatric diagnoses including anxiety, depression, ADHD ( which included facilitating workshops for parents of children who were diagnosed with ADHD) . From there, I moved to a private practice setting where my focus was on women’s wellness, adult life transitions (for both individual and couples , adults experiencing symptoms of anxiety and depression, and parenting/co-parenting counseling. I offered both work-related and personal counseling to first responders in central Ohio police and fire agencies. From there, I accepted a counselor position within The Office of Student Life at The Ohio State University/Central Ohio Technical College.  I provided individual and crisis counseling for both traditional and nontraditional age college students of diverse backgrounds (including the following communities/cultures- LGBTQUIA2S, BIPOC, and APIDA).

My counseling style is client driven. I utilize a toolbox of techniques gathered from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused and Strength-based techniques.

I am currently offering counseling to those seeking improved mental wellness including;  symptom reduction for anxiety and depression,  mild to moderate trauma, women’s wellness in all life stages, and relationship counseling for those looking to strengthen their communication. I am available for first responders (both work-related and personal counseling). I have completed Star Behavioral Health Provider training to better serve military personnel and their families. I welcome adults who could benefit from understanding more about thriving with ADHD.  I offer coparenting communication skills for both residential and non-residential parents. I have experience working with diverse populations and I welcome diversity in my practice.

Our mental health wellness is affected by our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Counseling is a tool that can help build on your strengths. Techniques to identify and correct automatic negative thoughts clear a path to develop choices and to formulate a solution that works for you.
