About Me

Scott Wolfe, MEd, LPCC

Hi, my name is Scott and I am a licensed professional clinical counselor.  I try to balance being professional with being approachable, and I love helping people with the small, medium, and large problems in life.  I enjoy helping people improve self esteem, improve relationships, create stability, reconnect with their creativity and passions, and ask questions of meaning in therapy.  I also add a healthy dose of humor wherever I can.  I integrate several approaches to therapy, including person-centered, cognitive, existential, and solution-focused therapy.  I help my clients to manage their anxiety, depression, AD/HD, bipolar disorder, and PTSD (as well as other mental and emotional disorders), and to decrease shame and stigma about mental health.  Teaching mindfulness skills is a common thread through these challenges and I appreciate the task of giving mindfulness instructions in a way that’s easy to understand.

I graduated from Ohio University with a master’s degree in education in 2012.  My career has included work in community mental health, a private counseling and psychiatry office, and an internship at Ohio University’s campus counseling center during graduate school.  At this time I am only accepting adults as clients.

In my personal time I enjoy spending time with family, listening to music, playing chess, meditating, reading, and hiking.
